Our Tech stack comprises of NodeJS and JavaScript. As an AWS Partner, we work closely with their Solutions Architects to help us create, innovate and deliver cutting-edge functionality.

We work with many organisations in the public and private sector. Our clients range from National Archives to financial institutions to broadcast media. We provide high traffic web interfaces, faceted full text search, big data indexing and analytics in the cloud and multi-platform archiving capability. Our clients use our services for compliance or risk management, brand protection and maintenance of historic records.

The role:

We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our Engineering team. You will already have experience building and maintaining large cloud based applications and will work as part of a close-knit team with our highly skilled engineers. We’re looking for someone with great attention to detail, who’s dedicated and takes real pride in running robust platforms delivering products used by millions of people every day.

We offer a flexible and remote working culture and will consider applicants that want to work fully remote from anywhere in the UK. We also have an office in Manchester to accommodate those who prefer to work onsite / hybrid.

‍What you'll do:

Reporting to the VP, Engineering the role will:

  • Work with product to decompose complex requirements into deliverable solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring to a team of developers alongside other senior members of the team.
  • Promote best practices among the team to improve quality and efficiency of feature delivery.
  • Work with the team to ensure that projects are completed on time, communicating progress with stakeholders.
  • Help to address production support issues, minimising data loss and customer impact.

What you need to have:

  • Strong technical skills, with a number of years of commercial experience in the
  • relevant language (NodeJS, Vanilla JavaScript).
  • Experience taking a lead on technical projects, being the person that engineers
  • look to for support and guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to review and constructively feedback, helping others to learn.
  • A strong grasp of software quality and how to ensure development practices
  • lead to high-quality outcomes.

  • A team player with proven experience working as part of an open, collaborative team.
  • Comfortable sharing architectural vision and helping teams to understand the architecture of software solutions.
  • Innovative and creative in your approach to software development.
  • A person who is not afraid to tackle difficult situations and provides constructive

  • Innovative and able to prototype potential solutions, exploring cloud native technologies where appropriate.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
